
Lisa’s passion is to support children, adolescents and their families by providing guidance, empathy and empowering individuals through chaotic and or challenging phases.
Lisa is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Maryland and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington, D.C. In 2015, Lisa graduated from The University of Maryland, Baltimore with a master of social work (MSW) degree with a concentration in child, and adolescent and family health. She majored in psychology and earned a bachelor’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2011.
Her diverse background includes individualized patient support in a residential setting to working as a foster care social worker in the child welfare field. Over the last several years working as a Clinical Social Worker, Lisa has worked with adolescents and children with a wide range of personal and psychiatric needs. Currently, Lisa works as School Social Worker for D.C Public Schools with elementary and middle school aged children. Lisa works with students, teachers and parents to create a positive learning experience for the child by providing therapeutic support and consultation.
Lisa individualizes and caters to the needs of the client by using a blend of Strength- Based Therapy, Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT), Psycho-education and Client Centered therapy. She works with children and adolescents with a focus in the following areas:

Lisa is of El Salvadoran decent and fluently speaks Spanish. She is passionate about helping immigrant and/or Spanish speaking families. During her free time, Lisa enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors and travelling.
