
Natalie is a licensed social worker in the state of Maryland with over 10 years’ experience in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health centers the emergency department and worksite-based behavioral health programs. She works with children, adolescents, families and adults with a focus on trauma, stress related disorders, anxiety, depression, substance use and adjustment issues using a strengths-based approach. By creating a safe space for clients to explore concerns, Natalie seeks to empower clients to improve their overall well-being and become more resilient. Natalie works with clients who wish to strengthen and develop emotional intelligence. She works with clients seeking to improve their communication skills, enhance their active listening techniques and find harmony and compromise within a marriage, family or in interpersonal relationships.
Natalie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hood College, her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and is currently a clinical psychology PhD student at Fielding Graduate University. Natalie is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) in Maryland and has been practicing since 2009. She uses a variety of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal-Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based strategies.
Additionally, Natalie has direct experience working with first responders and their families for many years. Natalie has also completed advanced training with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. She has first responders in her immediate family and understands the unique stress first responders and their families face.
In her free time, Natalie enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
