Christy Green, LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) has 15 years of experience working in mental health with individuals, families and couples. Christy takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, helping clients improve the quality of their lives through improved communication and relationships, while also incorporating work/life balance to facilitate exploration, discovery, and nurturance of your authentic self.
Christy is an eclectic practitioner with experience and training in a wide variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, The Gottman Method, Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy, Career Theory, and others. Christy supports the LGBTQIA+ community and is also experienced and well versed in working with both individuals and couples in non-traditional relationships including polyamory, swinger’s lifestyle, and ENM (ethical non-monogamy). Christy works with children ages 5+, adults 18+, first responders, LGBTQIA+ and couples.
In addition to her training as a mental health clinician, Christy incorporates her past law enforcement background into her clinical practice, particularly when counseling first responders and veterans. A typical session may involve exploration of themes such as your personal life goals, building positive relationships, becoming your authentic self, the pursuit of meaning in life, and the mind-body connection.
