[Art therapy provides a unique opportunity for creative expression in moments when words alone are insufficient or inaccessible. Art creation, when facilitated by a trained art therapist, allows for safe, externalized, exploration of life experiences and trauma as well as seeks to build resilience. While Casey is a trained art therapist, she also employs traditional psychotherapy approaches and mindfully chooses interventions to fit each of her unique clients.]
[Polyvagel theory describes our inner drive to survive in conjunction with our need to co-regulate and feel connected to others. Through exploring fight, flight, freeze, and fawn responses, we learn how our nervous system communicates to guide us through life experiences by either helping us to connect or reverting to survival instincts and patterns]
Casey provides art therapy and traditional therapeutic services to children and adults with a wide range of common challenges including:
- Sensory Processing Disorder
- Sensory Sensitivities
- Potty difficulties
- Family Dynamics
- Attachment Relationships
- Grief & Loss
Casey believes that developing a strong, trusting, therapeutic relationship with the client is crucial to creating a strength-based and client centered experience. Her sessions focus on personal growth, social-emotional wellbeing, and growing each client’s coping skill “tool box.”
In her leisure time, Casey enjoys spending time with her family and pets, being in nature, bee keeping, and creating art of all kinds.
